Back in 2001 we decided to go big at BDR Ponds and install a 900 gallon pond with a center walkway, a small stream to the left and about 3000 gallons per hour running the whole thing. We thought it turned out very nice and have enjoyed it for the last 7 years.
But just like when you decide that the furniture in your living room needs updating or moved around, we decided to get into a much needed makeover.
We now have about a 2000 gallon pond with more than 9500 gallons per hour running down a meandering stream and a large waterfall dropping more than 5 feet. The pond is equipped with a mechanical skimmer and a dual biological waterfall system, two commercial grade pumps, 11 lights and some of the most beautiful koi and butterfly koi we could find.
